Pengaruh Ekstrak Minyak Ikan Patin Terhadap Kadar Kolesterol Hdl Rattus Norvegicus yang Diinduksi Aloksan

Abstrak

Diabetes Melitus merupakan kondisi kronis akibat jumlah insulin dari pankreas tidak mencukupi kebutuhan. Kondisi ini dapat menimbulkan dislipidemia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak minyak ikan patin (Pangasius sp) terhadap kadar kolesterol HDL pada tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang diinduksi aloksan. Aloksan digunakan untuk menciptakan kondisi diabetes pada hewan coba dan pemberian ekstrak minyak ikan patin dengan kandungan omega-3 diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kadar kolesterol HDL.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental laboratoris, dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biokimia Fakultas Kedokteran Hang Tuah dari awal Mei 2021 sampai akhir Desember 2021.

Digunakan 27 ekor tikus putih jantan dipilih berdasarkan metode Simple random sampling dibagi dalam 3 kelompok: Kelompok kontrol negatif diberi pakan standar dan minum air PDAM, kelompok kontrol positif yang diinduksi aloksan 150 mg/kgBB, dan kelompok perlakuan yang diinduksi aloksan 150 mg/kgBB serta 3 hari kemudian diberi ekstrak minyak ikan patin (Pangasius sp) 73 mg/kgBB selama 14 hari. Pada akhir penelitian kadar kolesterol HDL diukur pada semua sampel.

Analisis data menunjukkan kadar kolesterol HDL kelompok kontrol positif (rerata=20,78 mg/dl) lebih rendah daripada kelompok kontrol negatif (rerata=31,00 mg/dl) secara signifikan (p = 0,004). Kadar kolesterol HDL kelompok perlakuan (rerata=27,00 mg/dl) lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol positif (rerata=20,78 mg/dl) namun peningkatannya tidak signifikan (p = 0,91).

Kesimpulan: pada penelitian ini pemberian ekstrak minyak ikan patin (Pangasius sp) dengan dosis 73 mg/kgBB pada tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) galur wistar yang diinduksi aloksan menaikkan kadar kolesterol HDL namun peningkatannya tidak signifikan.
